Mackies restyled

Despite of not actually being the Mackie face sculpt fan in any extend I managed to keep quite a few...
mostly non-blondes and less obviously pretty or show-off dolls... 100% of them are charity or ebay/secondhand survivours...

I decided to give them little rorodolls make-over and teh usual dress down...
some earthy boho realness;-)

it all started with digging out my Bath Boutique Mackie on Liv body
...well she isn't much of a fashionista

she is a bit shy so I invited cousins as well....
(please excuse chaos of moving houses and lives happening)

it was a great super sunny day...

cousin Bella is just gorgeous!

not the strongest personality but doesnt totally suck in posing...

...Bella however is natural-born...

...then cousin from Ireland makes her entrance...

she is a great team with her strawberry blonde sis:

oh ok...I will undo my hair...

...and outshined/ backlit

here they are - all together at last!

Strawberry chic

Time to show my restyled Cordutoy Strawberry... or something...
As much as I am not a colector;-) this dolll withher simplicity and charm tough me to appreciate, to say the least, Mackie mold. Love the full closed lips and gentle smile:-)

I am always so surprise how much they gain /the kitchy playline toy-dolls/ when they wear more realistic outfits and less nylon outfits:-)

Here she is in wearing my early teenage creations:

the quickest pendant / necklqce ever - metallic thread and three beads:-)

lilac silk top, thick jersay jacket, vintage floral purple corduroy skirt
and vintage vintage Barbie shoes from my childhood set.
I have to rememebr this amazing angle making wonders to Barbie's legs!

Doll No 21

Hello again.

Tonite few wordsand first photos of yet another survivor and extra from my ebay batch. She started a little avalange of gingers renegotiating frames of my "not-a-collection";-)

BTW! This chronological order is killing me btw...I have had 4 amazing finds at boot sale two weekends ago, then I had liek 3 accidental /believe me!/ wins on ebay and a lucky charity shop find (but its platinum + pink and i'm still strong enough to put her on ebay after some pleasant refreshing spa work).

She had very damaged and tangled hair - there is a serious loss... chewed hands and legs...
Yet again, first I really got intrigued investigating molds and trying to track her down and she has spent so much time on my desk I got really attatched...

Those small turquoise studs with strawberry hair and such a natural make-up is amazing...

Oh the sweet moments when your head explodes from all those Midges, Mackies and Steffies fo the world... /but you forget that Twist'n'Turn is an important indication:-P/

Anyway in the end I identified her as doll from 1999 Corduroy Cool series
and her face mold is obviously Mackie.
Colours are great, lovely late 90's mix of clothes yet stil very 'childish' and 'dollish' but slightly more fashionable and tastefull /I vividly remember wearing strips and courduroy myself!/

she used to have a deep plum purple tights...
...and a lovely friends with auburn/chesnut hair/!/ and greenn /!/ outfit...

I'd love to save one liek this sooo ver much

tbc.
