MayDay 2019

Dear roroDoll blog readers.
I am happy to announce that after missing whole last Summer and  being metaphorically and literally rather lost in my new London neighborhood thanks to my son's young eyes I am back on track (well that's questionable;-) with my carboot mini extravaganzas...

We started slow on one May Saturday...

just one overgrown pony, planes instead of toy cars and this classic platinum beauty...

I only bought her for pure pleasure of owning her for a lttle while - golden start-shaped earrings, red lips, shimmering dress and perfect platinum blonde hair...

she had unusually shaped hands but it still took me a while to identify her...she looked most like Union Jack to me and I was right trying out patriotic keywords

She turned out to be a collectible Statue of Liberty doll

in process i discovered amazing line of Landmark Collection dolls

consisting of Sydney Opera, Big Ben, Eiffel Tower and improved version of Statue of Liberty

you must admit that 'my' London Mackie is rather amazing!

On a huge tsunami wave of adrenaline I soon managed to locate most wonderful and definitely similar in scale to my gone but not forgotten Norfolk grassy field one....a bit tricky to find inbetween forests and gold courses but reachable by bus and manageable on bike (with some practice).

Next Sunday was rather fruitful!

dreams coming true - my daughters own Disney Store Frozen gown, Monster High bag, ice-skating pony and 50p set of eye shadows, beloved mr Monkey and Minecraft and quality watercolour paper for my boy, nice lego bits, straws we got for free, funny silk scarf, amazing blonde wig with roots showing and three dolls to share...

we had little dress-up afternoon...

wig is amazing on both of us LOL

last but not least...Dolls wise I got this pink and gold alladin-transksuit thing...could be Sindy, i don't know... We couldn't find any dolls so at first i grabbed this stiff generic blonde with dislocated hip - sad sad greasy hair fashionista but dress was definitely worth more that 50p:-)

then, at the very end, we spotted a handsome pile of dolls....
i grabbed Grandma (skipped Grandpa for reason I cannot explain....) and Teresa to snatch her articulated body which my daughter doesn't like and give her this head on bellybutton one. :-)

so much more to come soon!

Fashion play goodbye session

Today a quick simple session to say goodbye to two adorable dolls.
Simple and modest playline, straight hands Superstars.

I accumulated too many of them so had to be strong to send hem to better loving homes.
these are both from 1988

(great post in polish by Venusinbox ((here))) )

My original childhood dolls were 1987 fuchsia dress one and Fun To Dress 1987

Here are our today stars with they fab full eye 80's pastel eyeshadow and perm!

their simple innocent faces bring so many memories

I'd love this horrid fringe as a child!

 she asks for an edit!

...and a close-up of her tacky dress - sooo noisy but soooo shiny!

here a quick redress from my latest vintage stash
 Summery charmers...

Not worth a separate post and no way I can top the last one but I had some luck in charity shop again (21.05.19)

most happy with shoes and bags - the rest went to ppl caring for cute used fashionpacks as they come from two sets:

Wedding Fair pt 2

Welcome to day twe of my Vintage Wedding Fair!

Mackie Rapunzel is the opening act:

tadam!
Perfectly cut and taylored Mattel wedding fashion pack it was...

Next comes lovely Teresa presenting gorgeous luxurious tulle gown

She is an ideal Latina edition of this sculpt <3

After lacy fashions modeled by Heart Mum it's time for my Midge:

..not sure if it's a facepalm or attempt in showing her wedding ring...

 ..this dress tho...is a lot...

Last but not least a humble big-eyed Christie in simple dress and veil

 She is so lovely!
and the clothes are my original childhood toys - i remember clearly coming from some swap...they might be Steffi or Diana's...

 and gypsophila edition <3

Cheasy vintage editing tool  perfect for this occasion...
