Flowers

Today yet another archival session (3.05.2020) - season appropriate for once!
Happy times!

I had so much fun creating this colour explosion for FLOWERs themed monday4 dolls by BellaBellaDolls of Instagram. I have re.published some of them as symbolic act of solidarity with Ukrainian people an dolls.

Take one:
Flower Power United

Take two:
Springtime florals
and cute wee weeds

Take three:
...and then I remembered I have this gorge printed tea towel!

...suddenly every doll ever wanted to get snapped by that 'wall'!

Oh, Asian Lara - I keep forgetting how pretty she is!

...Slavic Rose next...

...but how about some Spring Romance!?

Oh the joy of primary colours!

..is he waiting for someone...

Oh! <3

...She's here and suddenly he got shy ;-)

Then I finally hit my favourite folk note
(fabulous backdrop provided using my daughters skirt)

Graceful explosion of slavic power;-)

...it escalated quickly...

My doll No 153

Today I wanted to introduce one lovely doll!
You know whats my favorite category already
 - tanned / mixed race
- dark hair
- brown eyes
- red lipstick...

  knock knock, how's there
the best lips in the business
 ...hair not so much:-(

This one holds proudly on her neck anchor a very desirable head-mold.
I still haven't got chance to purchase gorgeous collectible edition of this sculpt, but here she is

The Original Ana Suarez, Generation Girl doll!

Another bad description so i snatched her cheap on 22.06.17 (dear diary). She came in this very summery dress which i learnt to like with time (and it's genuine Mattel;-)

I introduce this fab line before in my entries on Nichelle, Tori and Chelsea (still no Mari :-( ).

Ana Suarez was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and now lives in an apartment in the Washington Heights area (Spanish Harlem) of New York. If you want to read more stereotypical b***t please go to Generation Girl wiki:-)

Her first edition doll is made to be early 2000 (ok 1998) most techno/meta hip-hop sporty. I hate it and only want to embrace her Mexican side;-) Yet I really how simple her look is...

here she is as new...I wish mine's hair were so sleek...

She has a lovely green-eyed edition with this amazing and full of accessories room/dorm playset!

don't even get me started on 2000 Mattel

Here is my girl with refreshed hair, take one - very much no perfect!
but very photogenic...

Here she is just for fun with my other dolls with this face. One of my fav things to do! Look at the these varieties and what a difference colour combination can do...

.... while I am still working on restyling mine - please have a look at 'The Other' doll from Generation Girl line using this mold - Lara.
(She is lovely...so one day....)

1998, 1st edition - artsy pants she is...

Dance Party edition - so bohemian <3

2000, My Room

p.s. update from the future - Ana and her love for vintage...

...photography (and reunion with an old old friend;-)

My doll nr 45

...Back to my £ 0,99 purchase  "I can deal with 'the blonde one' and those shiny dresses" LOL... little did I know... after realizing I accidentally got a rather characteristic and loved Hollywood nails Barbie I started process of identification of the long haired mixed race beauty.

Her skin tone is like a cinnamon, curly hair have really light blonde streaks and a bit surprisingly - she has so called Lara /Ana face which I adore since I first saw her in Basic line ages ago (before collecting and babies;-)).
She is quite often on ebay and sometimes gets tagged as 'Beyonce' which is intriguing.*

Mine was not in such a good shape - not only her hair were not so curly anymore but she had marks on her face and around the lips. I thought "oh i know. i am not afraid to use the varnish remover like this silly seller". Well obviously it didn't work and probably thats why i got her so cheap;-)

after delivery

dress sold, shoes serve very well

close up on lips someone tried to fix (and lovely gray eyes with pink shadow, cute little star/sparkle and some annoying glitter...

after varnish remover failure - here comes google with its fantastic answers... tried baking soda - nope... had to wait few weeks for hubby to go to Pl and buy me a cheap 'acne treatment cream' = basycally anything with an active component of benzoyl peroxide.

Here she is in the process:

I really enjoyed her with no lipstic whatsoever - very tempting...

I played with fixing her hair... here is a shot with new lips and hair curling on pipe cleaners..

TBC

She is quite obviously - Rayla doll - The Cloud Queen from movie "Barbie - Magic of the Pegasus"
I couldn't bear myself to watch the whole movie...but it explains the star and glitter. The name is nice - the dress is awful - one of these colours which hurt my eyes... and silver foil necklace and a bit bulb head tbh...and why, oh why tanned Lara???

here is a still from a movie:

Rayla as a nearly new doll with original cool/pale pink lips

and in a box:

here is all the cast

there is Black main princess version as well...

and a nice ginger friend 'Brietta'
