Barbie Looks 2 - No. 210

Oh dear  remember all this hype and exitement?

Made to move body but curvy and dark? Great moment in Mattel's history of constant evolution -Barbie Looks 2.

I got her almost 2 years ago when I would rarely buy anything in box and trendy... nuy it was a International Children's Day and my former boss i was a PAing for suffered a terrible twisted bowel emergency and has been stuck in hospital for weeks amd weeks....enought to say its not kind of assistance to parlantarian I had in mind...

At long last - welcome my No 210!

So hopeful...

Look at these tiny tiny eyelashes!
If I ever repaint anyting...that would be it...

Touching her face for the first time...

...am I alive now...no no heartbeat LOL

Impossible to catch on camera but not only she has most wonderful pearly peachy lipstick on
- she is very nicely blushed in fact <3

First few silly snapshots with other curvy articulated friends
(a big internet lie as Barbie Extra and Extra Fly were not even a thing)

...but they run our of light...

Oh dear...horrible light....

She will be first to get a proper diorama outdoor session...

Soooo very photogenic, I must make more effort

Holiday Boy (my doll No 193)

Today a new doll - a gorgeous mixed-race boy with a sun-kissed afro.

I love his face, body not so much...but I hear with some neck manipulation he is a good match for make-up ken MtM body...well one day...as for now as he arrived in mail - only slightly refreshed HighSchool Musical 2 Chad doll.

Not my thing but he could definitely be my crush <3

Oh, I just remembered I had Taylor as well - great face, never got to change her body...

So here he is - emerging star!

friends t-shirt and vintage pants...

he was a very brave boy...

..and took part in #travel photo shoot for #monday$dolls instachallenge

with @bellabelladolls immediately after...

flatlay as per usual:

...couldn't decide - only to change the concept completely

...after all that we just grabbed a backpack and went hiking in our

Surrey Hills (Area of Outstanding Beauty)

...so yeah..a bit stiff but fine looking young man...

My dolls (182 & 83)

It has been my first Christmas as a single Mum and luckily I have been able to spend it with my children. All went just fine and i am quite chuffed for being efficient slash good enough Santa, cook, mum and a child at the same time;-)

In great tradition of Christmas doll selfie-gifts I got myself from ebay two lost souls - beautiful heads looking for new loving home.
Both of them displaying some of my fav characteristics as well as contemporary fashionista sort of  must have.

First on of them is my first ever doll with a cute Neysa / Bambi (new Teresa) 2015 face sculpt - can't believe it took me so long.
Except of yoga mtm and christmas dolls she came in plenty of wonky bambi eyed indeed playline dolls I could not handle... my Barbie Fashionistas No 40 Pizza pizzaz (nr 182!) is a lovely fair brunette...

The second head satisfies my appetite for other mattels novelty - dolls with natural afro!
and clearly remember how many waves made the first in this stylistic.
Fashionista No 59 Tropi cute (nr 183)

.
.
Here they are on ebay pics and on arrival:-)

Took me a while to find a 'spare' AA body and the super fair that don't belong to collectible superstars are very few in my household;-)

Playing with filters for a while, before saying goodbye to the clown lips...

here are few sneaky shapshots from a bigger session last spring...

I really like how she photographs!

Application of this lipstick is questionable but flaws ar barely visible irl to be honest LOL
so much pottential in this girl <3

My doll nr 74

What a great doll to celebrate a full year of absolute doll fever!
Almost exactely year ago I went for winter break  to Finland and Sweden to comme back with an official doll's collector birthday gift - a bag of second-hand corpses... blue haired Teresa was there, purple haired marmeid was there...

This doll came from Stockholm's charity as well and was purchased by my partner for leaving me alone with kids again!
He was briefly instructed about molds and bodytypes - in short the darker the better and every joint counts.

He came back with a lovely Christie wearing dated, yet festive Fashion Avenue dress and shoes!

To my surprise one glimps was enough to identify my new roomate - she has mustard yellow nailpolish! This way unintentionally I managed to collect full line of these dolls! She has very natural looking hair with tiny braids (and no bangs) so the first edition, yay!

Here she is in a quick late night session with rest of my Asha Christies /so far :-)

She has most fab make-up, deep, dark and burgundy-copper. Original clothes are as good as other dolls' from this collection with extra points for my-favouruite-colour;-)
Its gonna be lots of fun recreating them...
