Ebay hybrids 226 - 228

 Oh dear...
Today just a quick one to report that I have sinned..

...but they were cheap....

Obviously leftovers from body-snatching collector's feast - unloved hybrids....

First emerged this yoga - mermaid....
I am resisting the new foxy-eyes face craze so I am rather chuffed about this simple new Teresa Head

Hmm very wordy and moulded they are recently

LOL amazon suggestion says it all....

She didn't get a new life at mine as of yet so no number.....

I loved these two when they first hit the market...

stiffity stiff stiff...but at least she is dark and tall

Great makeup and I love me dark Teen skipper with orange lippy

The natural hair / afro craze is over now - I have quite a few in recent years but I finally figured out how to twist.....so a little project is under way....see below....

**

I also decided to keep this Millie for now.
Sh ehas a decent screening, and her eyes and slightly violet.

If I ever give her more classy shade of blonde she might be of some arty use...

Indigo blue

Today i will publish session from last January.
It features two dark skinned dolls - Fashionista no 20 (my doll 170) which waited to be played with for a very long time as a secondhand package:-(  and my ooak Christie doll (No 180) - bootsale temptation and body donor who was honored for her great deeds (well charming smile and green eyes as well) with fab new afro and amazing fully articulated MtM body!

my palette / concept is 90s indigo grunge

How to shot together super stiff model doll who can barely stand but not sit and a super flexible one who can barely sit at one place lol..

 LOL

its been lots of fun nevertheless...
..and just one more decoration change:

and last but not least
Happy New Year 2020!!!

The Afro herstory:

..and lots of trimmings later...

My dolls, nr 77! / Adventures in rebodying 8.

There you go, the next doll arrival was purchased on 03.07 and is doll number 77 if you fancy some numerology... She is Ancient Greek Princes form the Dolls of the World series.
She was heavily under-priced, not described and poorly photographed so yay! my kind of doll.
She was in sad condition - as if she was displayed in Greek restaurant for years... super dusty and unloved...

here she is graceful and proud in bubble wrap..
dusty in her glory...

luckly my grey kitchen door look rather greek-blue in full July sun;-)

 sooooooo dusty
golden gown
 and a hem:

I also happen to have an olive tree in a pot;-)

and official Barbie Collector pic..

Whats worse, her head decoloured slightly from exposure to light and turned waxy yellow while her body is milky / ivory... apparently it is quite common for this line of dolls even if nrfb...

I am never interested in displaying a doll in original outfit and styling... She has an amazing strong face ready for some urban adventure:-)

Her fancy layered dress (well made in deed) was sewn on her but fabric was protected with seam.
She had very nice hairstyle from epoque and very good jewelry indeed. I sold all of her luggage - another quilt free 'purchase'...

diadem and snake bracelet were amazing...

Her fancy locks were stiff from 'hair product' and beyond dirty... I had no doubts if she needs hot water and shampoo...
after first dip - still up but not sticky...

tadaaaa - contemporary chic Italian lady....so happy and excited for her...

now for a new body...
nothing really was fair and yellow enough...not even Hollywood nails or Austrian Barbie you know...

Since it was supposed to be an upgrade as well I ended up choosing between Liv Sophia and Disney's Bella... both are fortunately more ivory than rosy;-)

Ok, she is a little bit mean Medusa on this one:-P

all the best dear Chiara (I guess...)!
