The Magic bag

Oh my god, this is a dramatic story about my most spectacular car boot sale purchase so far me thinks...but its hard to tell as there is no action...
Basically I'm at one table with older guy and two sons in their late teens... I spot a blue wig holder, can't remember from where I know it but I buy it anyway as its 20p only...
When almost leaving I spot a medium sized, 'indian' styled pink arm bag for a young girl - I consider it for my daughter and mechanically check the inside...my heart just stopped and mind evaporated...
I theatrically shake it and ask how much - he says (the son): '50 p please' - as calm as I cand be - I say: 'Cool' and just grab it and run...

it basically looked something like that - bag is to small to digg without loosing something...

Yes! My first Liv doll. I bided for them several times some time ago but they seemed to be quite a hype and I wasn't that desparate... but here she is...wait!

Its not one but two dolls, not one wig  but five/!/, dolls are fully dressed, with shoes, oh wait - and three bags too... This is obviously too much! Oh beautiful Spring of 2016 to remember:-)

I couldn't wait so pics are made on my lap in a speeding car...

Totally hypnotising - even hubby is impressed with the eyes and articulation (but he is driving)

 no comments + an alien
I have immediately made decision to sell the blonde one and her pink & pastel accessories (oh my collection so well designed and focused LOL) and I was quite successful on that /essp. that my 'investment' was the whole 25 p/...thats when my resale bug really kicked in and I had an extra excuse to attend boot sales regularly, BUHHHAHAHAHA

feed your eyes:
forever mine - green eyed tanned brunette with her dark and curly wigs <3
oh god, they are so well designed... tottaly hunting but kind and warm in the same time..

pastel and candy floss section - bye bye my love!
and one of the best knee cups in the business LOL

Naturlich, i've spent all afternoon (sorry kiddos) studying Spin Master and waves of Liv dolls only to find that they are discontinued /2009-2012/ and that I have complete, boxed dolls named: Sophie and Alexis, booth from an original wave 1 (with no painted panties)...

4 dolls of 1st wave: Alexis, Daniela, Katie and Sophie

Boxed Sophie and promo

Boxed and promo Alex:

They are much more photogenic i.r.l....

/very vintage hand-made swiming suite made from a very vintage 60's bikini;-)/
a tip...
Their wigs actually fit vintage dolls like cousins Fleur and Sindy

/edit from few months later/ as well as Moxie Teenz, yuppieeeee and whoooaaaaa:-)

definitelly TBC!!

Charity shop find 5

Althou the doll is long gone I wan't to 'pay respect' so to speak...
I can't remeber anymore where I have been heading but I was alone (unusual) and I took other way than usually. Thanks to that finally had a chance to explore only seen from a far - Samaritanians charity shop. It was small but very bright and tidy - boutique more than a smelly second hand...
First glance to the left and there she is:

 Rapunzel Barbie 1997

Read enough blogs to know I have to save her from children's hands;-) Not only she had a cherished Mackie mold but also a very characteristic make-up as well as very fancy crown and clean genuine gown, even original gold hair elastics. In short - I wanted to play with her without being obliged to display etc... (I think i lost eBay auction with boxed AA one so it was a sign or sth).

It was a very great pleasure indeed - well attached but removable crown, seriously long hair but not in the best quality imo, removable gown which turned out to be separate...

Washing and brushing her hair was a nightmare - I wanted to refresh them for auction... it must have been physics...they have been tangling before i even finished to stroke on streak, hmm
All in all I am very happy with the final effect and really enjoyed photographing her - very graceful and well made princess...

very well constructed and fitting dress

+ ring and simple studs

..and just for reference - the AA Rapunzel...
rather 'ethiopian' or even Alicia Keys kind of beauty...

Vintage Sindy x 3

This is a story about my 'First time lucky' visit at the 'other' car boot sale... it goes on in March to Septemper cycle since 1986 or sth...and is sooo huuugee...and in the middle of nowhere and a bit muddy;-)

Was in my tiger eyes mode so just in a first aisle, on a side, to the back and on a ground /foil bag/ I spotted doll shaped exhumed corpses reminding vintage Sindy dolls. I almost jumped over the table and got them all (there was one more doll, Diana or Petra or sth and few never used sleepy eye/ hollow plastic dollies)... 50 p each...

the classic case of sticky and smelly dolls covered with a real green mould!

like - how bad is that... but it is very excited as they are all so different...

yacky...

after hot hot bowl bath with bubbles and serious brush and scrubbing... three lovely ladies:

thanks to great Sindy page I managed to identify and sell them already.
Here are their markings:

2nd generation Sindy, regular 033055X, after 1982 Sindy with logo in a block (and her ballerina active body

I had quite a nice correspondence with their buyers - they all will take good care of them - vintage Sindy loving homes with lots of old-new friends (and I managed to sustain my collections integrity LOL or sth)
