The Rockers reloaded

Oh my... dream team reloaded and reinvented...one of the coolest crews of the 80 (beside the tropical one and Benetton which have etched deep deep into my brain) - Barbie and the Rockers <3

The session is as usual slightly rushed and improvised  but I still had plenty of fun and achieved some of my goals / dreams. I came up with it to celebrate my tortured Barbie as well as compare and animate both of my DeeDees!! <3

Clothes are not original - loosely inspired since I never aspire to really collect sets and lines, as you already know...

AA vintage Barbies revival

Today another lovely reunion - inspired by arrival of my second Nichelle doll - a mini reunion of vintage AA Barbie dolls.
Shani is still missing (as I am not really fond of her face at all) but please welcome classic Christie, DeeDee and Nichelle from the Butterfly Art line.

I have arranged bright day room for their meeting and dressed them in shades of Spring Greens...

So happy I got myself The Other DeeDee and (accidentay) the Superstar Rockers Barbie with heavy make-up...that asks for a session!!!

This poor crazy eyed one was going to become some kind of Bambi and forest critter...but I had to get rid of all the extras during my (dramatic) move...

 

 My Rockstar has chopped hair but it only exoses her face better (No 167)

and she kept her original body which was made at Philiphines, nice:-)

 DeeDees legs god decoloured patches, but hey...

 

She is a beauty (No 168), love her natural make-up and so happy to have her lilac sister in crime as well <3

but I cannot lie Tuesday (No 169) has not stollen my heart colpletely...

make-up applied by hand... and tone of potential <3

She has one of the best sculpts I have ever seen and is an absolut embodiment of 70's beauty - I dare to say - even better than Darcy...
