Carboot (My dolls 206 & 207)

I still haven't been this year but here is our carboot howl from the MayDay bank holiday sale!

Other than the practical summer school uniform, ctusyals and bubbly fidget...

We've got another collectable orangutan to my kids collection, handpicked 6 for £1 or sth Lego pieces and a bag of very detailed animal figurines that need to be sorted and ensembled - pretty book tbh!

Also quite a few real snake skins which I'm pretty sure are vintage and possibly slightly illegal, maybe? So I will need to use it for doll crafts...

I also found a third bracelet to join my 'african' collection
(Poor Mel B doll still haven't been processed and I'm not sure in which category box she is now...)

Before I'll follow to present my vintage barbies which I definitely don't need but...
so I decided to just add them (mixed up long ago) collection numbers and keep them!

Meanwhile here is a discovery!
£1 for a box....

...very camp, slightly cyber-chic dolls...fully articulated and with inter-changeable hairdos and accessories plus mini dresses

Their facial expressions and gestures are pretty unique as well...

Thay are called Capsule Chx so I assume you can complete quite a collection...of build your own, surprise, customisable android fashionistas etc...

They are by MooseToys and slogan says Clt+Alt+Magic! and Be YOU-nique!...cleaver...

There is quite a few available....

and last but not least a fanart piece

...Barbie wise....I found these!

Quite a classic - green triangles in her pupils give her away and she also kept a piece of her original jewellery. nothing screams more Arizona than a turquoise snake skin!...

Yes, its her the smashing combination of hot pink and turquoise - the 1989 Western Fun Barbie (206)
...of do I remember her.... a dream!

She came with friends, horse and camp (extra fashions as well from what internet revealed)

Everyone so vibrant and handsome!

The other find is yet another classic - 1983 Great Shape Barbie!

I love her modest 70s-ish vibe...very very decoloured sadly (although ot sure i loved that green/turquoise much)

I'm pretty sure mine is the UK green version however :-)

Very lucky :-)))

Carboot 12.07.20

You know what it means - thelookout historical ones - the first two after end of lockdown (aka 'inbetween waves').
I went alone, by bus, wearing a facemask...there have been fewer stalls and fewer buyers, everybody a bit shy to touch anything...

I didn't get super lucky but it felt great and I was on a kids' for kids stuff they declared interest in during lockdown games...

The first one was very shabby and small but I managed to get these feather-weight hollow vintage clones.
I have a soft spot for these...so sad a tacky...spooky twins...

Things have been done to them...but at least someone played with them...

here they are - cleaned and brushed - still creepy-cute and waiting for their diorama moment...

Edit
Still no proper photoshoot but I was 'lucky' enough too purchase yet another set of soft-shell clone dolls - this time rubbery brunette and dark-haired 'Cindies' ;-)

I think they will do a great job as paranoid timid set of sisters!

Just look eat them!

Carboot sale (26.08)

...only a week later - another Sunday another bootsale...
Good one - lots of memorable items that are in rotation all the time...

First of all set of great artist brushes and vintage but super sharp tailoring scissors in original box!
Cup and saucer matching my desert plate - original from the Queen's coronation...
and now hosting my survivor orchid - ivory pot with wicker motif....

(that is one unfocused pic, sorry)

the lego and dolls lady this time had as well box of assorted shoes and clothes...
luckily we found her at the very end otherwise i'd go nuts....

I got these chairs - originally to go with my spring mega vintage pack but decided to resale it after all.
I remember not agreeing to get another kitchen or bathroom set...but then i found out they were quite possibly original vintage mattels hence nasty colours and stickers. oh well...

I treated my daughter to yet another dress-up item... pussy cat of some sort - she is visibly happy to have her Halloween sorted (last year)

And my son was delighted receiving big bag of mixed lego
- all in blue with many rare and unusual and vintage odd bits...

Doll-wise nothing shocking can happen anymore but I'm very happy!

I got myself AA Kelly
Retired but rather unique blond-haired and green eyed Camping Fun Teresa
and one and only - Fashion Fever street fashion Tokyo Drew with one of post beautiful make-ups on Lara

and most of original clothes

Here she is very happy getting refreshed

Gorg! but i still have problem with these blue streaks...

lots of conditioner helped to define her curls despite my rather brutal brushing..

Teresa has this vintage charm I cannot resist despite her Bambi eyes and terrible fringe

Very dry and broken hair and mixed feelings abut the bangs...

Here she is in close-up and brand new!

the whole line is tacky but very easy on an eye...

Can't wait to redress and restyle poor abandoned ladies...
