Violets

Today a mini session of my Hairtastic Barbie and her sister of colour (so to speak) - my poor scapegoat doll. This time I wanted to check what will happen if I use my modern, ecofriendly, washable, rock'n'roll hair colouring cosmetics...

I just dipped her in my purple hairdyer. Results can be seen below.
(Funny enough - colour decomposed and  red pigments faded away quite soon leaving a doll with pastel blue hair...)

Cali Teresa revisited

Hi!
I already have other outfit for her and even proper photo session is done but i thought I will share this funny impression - improvised photoshoot of imporvised clothes...
As you remember (obviously!) it took me quite sometime to overcome this clash of tanned skin and frosty make-up...

Teresa 2 revisited

this is a continuation of previous post about 'Teresa'/?/ with purple steaks.

Today Cic Teresa 2006 is getting restyled.

 here she is in close-up with two different filters.

She is wearing heather jacket made of sheet felt which was sort of eureca moment (bacause no hemline!) with a sequin brooch characteristic for this line (see previous T.)

 She looks lovely and young.

Good to have one doll from this era in your 'collection'

(oh this is her super dumb angle)

Underneth she wears pea green/bluish dress worn before by Swedish Barbie.

...and costume change for a fancy sock cape;-)

Teresa revisited

They are so familiar now I can't remember what took me so long to like her.

Still have't wrapped my mind around the ever-changing Teresa mold in mid 2000s but anyway.

Just look what difference color makes. How it changes dolls character, makes her yours and exchances her inner beauty!

Here how she look in more tasteful and earthy- and peacock-colored stylisation:

 Sequin flower hair accessory, very vintage floral green fabric dress with emerald tulle neckline and golden-chocolate coat (yes, it used to be a sock....), shoes from some other e-bay doll.

Mature doll - restyled

oh wait...this was my other breaking point... 

back in Luxembourg when I realised 'Barbies' are not all blond and pink as i remeber it and lot was happening on the market... 

Purchasing this interesting mature lady from Happy Family pastel thing, only-woman-with-rings-have children... together with AA Sunshine family on Nordic community tabletop sale...was a nice reminder that i love dolls but was too pregnant with my baby nr 2 to give it much space in y head and life...

anyway - 'Grandma' is free now and pretty hot in her new-old outfit!

 sorry - its not terribly sharp pic...Dress made by me in 90's - satine top and navy blue vintage scarf from ancient stash. Underneath she's hiding black! tulle underdress made by my late mother in my ballet classes filled childhood:-) Oh, and piece of our old India shop wooden beads string.. couse she is a mature Hippie obviously...

She looks happy. I love her face and natural make-up.

Very interesting hair color..and i wonder how different is her body from 2016 Curvy Barbie...

Need to play with her more when i work through my rescued and restyled doll's queue /ever.../

Ginger fever

...in order of appeariance of my desk... part of Ginger Wave or rather Fever:-)

I presented her not so long time ago... the wonky eye and shaved forhead Pea Princes doll...

Thought about rerooting her missing hair and to give her some colurful, maybe lavender hair steak 

but its not a style that I am going fore. Fortunately came up with something better and quicker.

Yet another doll I didn't care too much for at the beginning has conquered my heart:-)

Mathing the new hairdo is my retro-styled hand-made in my teenage years ink blue cotton dress and more recent purple hubby sweater jacket.

Very happy with the final result. chronologicaly, she is my first doll wih this 

'belly button & elbow' type of body as well.

 What a change! Love her pensive face.

Swedes & Silks

       Another doll from my old batch which was patient enough to try some items from my ancient doll's wardrobe.You ma recognise the hand-painted pre-war brown silk - bits of this blouse were used to dress Esmeralda few posts ago.The rusty/curry open work knit belonged to my late mother - she wore it in 80s a lot:-)

       Here you can see, hard to recognise in these lovely earthy tones, Swedish Barbie. She came with Mbili and Polish Barbie and I did not much attention as she has platinum blonde semi-short hair etc. - but since I brain-washed myself with lots of our blogs I know Mackie mold is a thing to love:-P

clever teenage-me to use this technique to manipulate fabric!
