My Dolls - No 89

With a great pleasure and left over s of dignity I started new carboot season - post-holidays autumn edition (04.09.16). My thrift looked like this:

From non dolly stuff I can see to the left toddlers clothing my daughter is sill wearing over 8 months later, pre-Halloween costume stash to reduce frequency of fighting over the two we have got, and to the right threepieces of clothing for Mommy I cannot imagine life without (and didn't realise they are from the same stash! At the very bottom Anthropologie Indian cotton 'E' shaped decor for my bestie new flat;-)

the section the middle looks like that:

I couldn't be more lucky and happy - Just after turning the corner of the first array I have found fully dressed Midge and laying face down Moxie teen doll (which is my nr 98 and the doll of today). Moxie doesn't have jewelry or wig but omg she has shoes... they were $1 each and young girl was terribly ashamed that they are old and used;-) Few boxed away I have found articulated Barbie gymnast. Girl wanted 25p for her cause she is 'kind of old' but I forced her to take 50, because seriously! Then I managed not to buy yet another dark-haired moxie girl;-) also I finally realized i need to start buying all those Disney dolls for their articulated arms goddamit - got Rapunzel and the is darn cute but I am choosing to to turn away my head LOL

Back to my Moxie - what to say - articulated, discontinued, 16" tall doll with acrylic eyes and outworldy eyelashes... relatively rare and expensive for my trashy standards...
Destiny gave me possibly the leas favorite one - suntanned bleached blonde with fierce blue eyes and pale pearly lips, oh well...

Her name was Melrose and everything about her is slutty - but now she is mine ;-)

first 0 I decided to sell all er clothes except of potentially grungy/rock&roll washed skinny jeans...
bye bye stuff
...then I improvised some dangle earrings (too rich-bitch anyway) and darkened her lips
her eyes photograph extremely well and face is super sweet...
No doubt  Liv doll's wigs fit her...

Moths later I managed to dig her out for little fashion play and informal photo experiments...
 proper camera close-ups...
 soft ethereal one...
 and strong contrast Melrose...

Then I dug out one wig and over-sized Barbie suit fitting her nicely... colors and style is totally off and unintentional... blue-pink-yellow contrast is fun to shoot tho...

charming and absolutely hypnotyzing...
yet another doll I fell in love with through the lens...

something tells me it's not my last Moxie (and customization I've seen online -oh lala...)
