Denim doll day

Busy busy catching up with myself and documenting my dolly adventures...

Today mini series about doll's denim pants created as a part of an international instagram game 'travelling doll pants' where a pair of mini denims is shipped from place to place and photographed by each contestant - all of that midst global pandemic mind you:-)

Don't forget to follow me there https://www.instagram.com/rorodolls - where i usually reside on daily basis anyway...

It goes as usual...
I'm gathering fashions, accessories and props

Flatleys are my favourite thing!

Then I set a scene...
Denim always make's me think of 90's so I went Levi's add style a bit...
subconsciously

...last but not least: group shot of my actors / models...

This is possibly my fav photo of the session with contrast
of her lipstick and cheeks against cold blue light (filter)...

This Fashionistas hybrid is no longer with us but had her moment for sure...

and lots of highlighter - so in!

...legs for days...

Teresa with her burgundy hair joined in...

She sports this denim on denim look hard!

very good coppery natural make-up as well!

oh, such a good 'denim' filter it is!

what else...

oh yes - another denim association -
casual and simplicity...she is the model for that

...and obligatory:
all American - Cali Girl 2004...

pensive in glitter

**EXTRAS**

if you scrolled all this way down here - there is a treat for you!
One handsome daddy and his daddy jokes LOL

...but oh dear... nope..
...he cannot fit anymore..

Rainbow

Haha,

I'm so behind with blogging, archiving my dolls photographs...even the instant Insta! ha!

Today I am happy to publish yet another series I created inspired by BellaBellsdolls Insta game #monday4dolls. This time it was all about her doll's (Iness) Gender Reveal Party!

Despite being mother of two I was never much into baby culture and definitely do not tolerate pastels.
On top of that there is this exciting, informative and liberating for so many of us discussion on gender roles.

...so I decided to have a tongue in cheek sesh - it will be who it will be...

Love, Light, Health and Happines!!

for all!

Carnival doll for VIOLET

Grandpa for SAPPHIRE

Ken for GREEN

Curvy for YELLOW

ooak Kira for ORANGE

Polish Superstar for RED

ooak Skipper Fashionista in PINK

Thank you!!!

Queen of Christmas (166)

Today, despite the title, post dedicated to my male boys.
Growing up in 80 with orange and yellow Kens I never imagined I will adopt a boy doll.

I wanated to honour and entertain my newly deboxed 2016 Holiday Barbie but she doesn't look too amused. Not a model muse me thinks - she is done this season with modelng and definitely not a big fan of Holidays; And children.

the first few went well...

the male models joined in...
 Brian and Ryan
she can barly take it anyway ...but then this!

children joined in... she couldn't be bothered no more!
looovely children...
(yes, Sullivan Famly fashions do fit small mattel dolls and skinny Monsters)

awwww modern men!

Fantastic analytical article on Kens providing you with gems like: 'Mattel has spent the better part of six decades teaching children that Barbie and Ken are white; that Barbie and Ken are sculpted like Hellenistic statues, only pornier, despite lacking genitals;': https://www.gq.com/story/the-ken-doll-reboot-beefy-cornrowed-and-pan-racial
