My dolls, No 157

on 31.07.2017 one of my great dreams came true...
I got back my early 90's Kelly brunette...
and a toddler boy I have never held in my hands before...

I remember very well the day I, quite unusually and spontaneously, got it one evening (or winter afternoon)... I've been in the city center with my Mum and it was a small shop...I remember there was a whole 'wall' or at least diplay cabinet with kiddos... just butterflies in the stomach making me slightly sick...

I was in heaven - dark haired doll (i remember i went for the hair length, however ginger one was exciting too), with an extra outfit AND accessories...

I have no idea how it is possible I got rid of her while I still have some of the clothes...Years later I managed to identify her thanks to the power of Internetzzzz

good lord!
turquoise and pink, bows in hair, tiny cute lips and this rocking horse!! (it must be somewhere!)
she came with 2d cardboard pop out toys...

Dolls that I have got are from different line but oh, bring sooo many memories and feelings..

luckly I didnt know about the existence of this beauty!

My kiddos seem to belong to the Barbie teacher set and have lovely dark air and brown  eyes just the way I love it!

here they are on arrival...

the boy doll is a bit of a scar from too many adventures...

girl is amazing and her hair look great but wears cheap looking birthday dress;-)

The third baby looked like that...
definitely vintage but not Mattel...

...she looks a bit like Pedegree Baby Matilda...

but the DEL 87 seems to link to Delavannat...
which turned out to be part of Glady Family set of dolls...

Interesting but definitely not my scale and not my type,
therefore I managed to resale her successfully:-)

TBC
as \i just moved hoses and can't find time to rediscover dolls just yet...

My dolls, nr 54 aka ZZ

As some of you might have notice - in that green bag from last post was something more... loassic case of a pile of dolls in far end of bootsale blanket...on the bottom, face down - Christie just waiting for me:-) £1.50 at max...

She was wearing a genuine. casual polka dot dress and had characteristic yellow Z in the pupils of her eyes..very characteristic and dated...on her wrist she was wearing classic silicone spring bracelet/hair accessory...for a moment i thought she might even be from the Wild'n'wet team...

Her make-up is strong but works - electric green eye shadows, orange-red lipstic and really lot of blush which i love, love!

Here she is all poor and dusty /and out of focus/,..

with amazing sun kissed high quality long hair!
This is what happens when no one is touching a doll
- they start to look like vinyl stiffies with empty eyes:-(
This is how this lady looked when she was brand new. Fonts are just so pleasing on this box!
Everything is vivid green - this make-up makes sense;-)... lovely hawaiian grass skirt, sunglasses and stylish jelly sandals to enjoy seashore...

I traditionally decided to cover her up in some cosy woolies...
just a sneak peak today...

She seriously is glowing with happines...

My doll collection vol.5

Today few words about another doll I am really enjoying.
I love unusual editions -tis one not only she is not a platinum blonde pink princes -
she had rather short hair, completely unique face...
I was so surprised finding her in a stash at garage/boot sale (Nordic market) in Luxembourg.

 close-up by me w/ glasses

styled by me with a hand-made kimono blouse and vintage beads necklace (after my childhood barbies)

look at those great small breasts and natural waist  perfection!

took me sometimes to find out she is not a tv character but just a "grandma"
(sure good looking one!) from Happy Family series...

My models pt. 2

I got her in second-hand / charity shop back when i used to live in Stockholm. It was a huge basket full of dolls and I am afraid to think what really could be there if I only know what to look for;-) then...
She was the first doll I have bought to myslef as an adult - she made me realise how much I love these, how much change in technology and style happend ince 80/90s... and for the first time I have used the on-line resources to identify the doll... Pandora's box it was...

Look at these amazing long and fiery red hair... lifelike eye lashes... and full lips...

here, she is wearing a hand crocheted necklace and
hand-made sky-blue cotton and tulle t-shirt by roroDolls.

...and uh well... purple legs and wings moving mechanism.

She turned out to be a Lenara Fairytopia Lavender Wonder Fairy Barbie Doll 2004.

Here she is with all the accessories:
and in a box:
