Spring catchup

Today just a little funny one from two years ago - lil dolly catch-up in Spring Flowers Colour palette...

Flatley as usual...plus a bit of matching me...

...and here they are - collection of  contemporary fashionistas besties...

I love the latest smiley one:-)

Nothing says spring more than chocolate eggs (at least in England)

Oh, hey!
How about some close-ups?

Haha, distracted with chitchat!

Lovellies. So happy with the available selection of different sculpts!

P.S. Please meet my first purchase after charity shops reopened from yet another lockdown - yet another top-heavy LalaLoopsy but as a charming Geisha with blue hair - what's not to love!?

Red Hot (vintage business)

Today dramatically different colour palette - red hot!

I'm taking a brake from challanges and instagames (taken in April 2020).

This sessions theme is my own - red hot vintage power suit and gorgeous BlackBarbies of the era<3

Confusing background, I know, but let's say its a bus stop in the morning...

Oh yes, they've made it...

serious corridor networking and even better ones during the break in lounge!

I love her cute Christmassy white permanent tights...

and more networking on the way to yet another meeting...

...and very important yet extravagant boss of all bosses popped in...

She sure dress to impress...

oh ah!

Pfeeeww...she's leaving....

...now that it's all over now..Asha is basking in the afternoon sun...

...another day another dollar...

My Dolls, No 188

Today yet another 'ethnic' doll that I stumbled upon and just had to save.

The AA version/editions of any doll in any wave is the one I am always after. The Sleeping Beauty is quite a curiosity indeed. Coming from Eurocentric narrative, remade to satisfy diverse market needs.

This particular not only bares a graceful Macke face sculpt but also sport6s one of a kind old-school sleepy-eye situation!

Here is a very blurry commercial from 2000 w Caucasian dolls - if you can bear the singing...

Here they are as boxed dolls:

..and a close-up on my future girl...

Here is my pr girl IRL - nude, hair seriously chopped and the 'switch' at the back operating her eyelids jammed and unreliable.

I love her surprised, Bambi-like expression...
other than that...well was tempted to snatch her caramel body but her head is made of hard plastic, only moves around left and right so definitely not a good candidate for a body donor

Let's see then...

It's been way over an year (of lockdowns, UK edition) since I got her so took me a while to dig her out of the bottom of one of my sub-category doll collecting concealed box LOL
Anyway - here she is enjoying her spa time with other thirsty hair gals...taking a nap!?

...Spa wasn't super successful and she is extremely unposable doll but I still thought - quite unique due to her 'sleepy eyes' so I gave her a while session with her other fairy-tale cousin Mackie.

Here they are dressed down as usual enjoying a cosy autumnal interior....

N

oh no, what's happening! who woke me up!?

Oh, hi Rapunzel!

...are we done now?
Can I go back to sleep?!

My doll no 170

Today doll which arrived after semi-complicated logistic delay as it was shipped to someone who I knew will be visiting. I had no time since then to revisit her but am no less chuffed with her and neverending diversity of Fashionista dolls.

My new-old girl No 170 is:
Barbie Fashionistas Doll 2015 Fancy Flowers

Brand new mold, minimal makeup, two-ones curly hair, unusually dark skin...

She comes from early waves and has this funny fashion-oriented, super-model, post-ModelMuse body... in her constant countra-post (with one leg shorter in result), hands on hips, absolute stiffness in hips... sh eposes well but is far from versatile...

Originally she looked like that (thanks internet) - dress is very cool...

I have the whole phoyoshoot comming up with the oldschool one and only AA Barbie queen - my new OOAK Christie...

In good tradition of dressing- and playing-down here is colour palette and lookbook sneaky peak...

so much fun - I should do this more often and in less of a hurry LOL (between work-school-sleep)
