My dolls: No. 122-124

Today yet another good deed on the edge with greed and crazy consumerism;-) Animal Rescue Charity had its pre-christmas fair, they actually actively mentioned dressed barbies in bargain prices being ready for sale in one of their updates...

I went there with my whole family, abandoned my children, run over few more and reached the toy section in far end of the hall... There was a large washing bowl full of bagged fashion dolls. I had to take my time and my space to take each and everyone of them to get to the bottom...

I picked up 3 with dark hair and/or some articulation.
They turned out to be 3.00 each, two had very similar hand-made dresses but i was not allowed to swap clothes...

One, I knew/recognised immediately was vintage Kira with cut hair...
which is ok as it gives my a chance to customise a vintage doll - I am thinking a side undercut or sth like that... depending how hair are after I wash her...

She looks rather Eskimo here but without her jumpsuit she is rather
hot blooded Hawaii Fun Kira 1990.

underneath she is wearing genuine simple summery mini dress.

She has characteristic 'Z' blink in her eyes. Mine is made in Malaysia so her turquoise eye shadow is not blinding you that much...

Just as my Hawaii (or autumnal here) Christie she came in a swimming suit a 'grass' skirt, brush and summery colourful hairstyle..long gone.

here is the whole bunch Hawaiian Fun 1990 (Barbie, Christie, Kira, Ken, Steven, Skipper, Jazzie)

here is the comparison of my two dolls from the line:

The second doll was a great surprise. She had lovely brown hair, Mackie's sculpt which is always promising and not at all budget make-up plus articulated knees combined with a rare fair skin tone.

she is super handsome and I love her dress!
..and not made in China...
there was something very unusual in her yellow-green eyes...
I suddenly realised! is it even possible that in this summery dress at animal rescue charity fair I could have excavate, rather recent and popular, Bella from Twilight?

They are more less collectible but/and from Pink Label in a really nice packaging

there are two 'Teresas' in this group but I won't think too much about it...

hell yeah!
She definitely needs more articulation in her next life with me...

The third doll was the greatest surprise tho...
I never saw her before and she did not ring the bell...

She had new Disney articulated body with movable ankles and tiny feet, London Disney Store on her back (we have a shop in Norwich too but no idea what they have on their backs)...

I bought her for body (or chestnut-chocolate hair) but her classical,
mature and elegant face is rather haunting...

underneath the very well finished handmade purple floral dress she had forest, green panties which gave me the clue...

What a charmer!
Here she is posing with a thistle in the background... does it give you an idea?
She is doll I had no idea of... in amazing original gown and clever cleaver packaging...

Mother Bear, The Queen Elinor from Brave <3

I mean how good is that...
Can't even decide if I should restyle Kira first or start sawing some magical forest automnal queen from Elinor...

Strawberry blondes

In a spare time between doll shopping I finaly took care of some of my Barbie underdogs - the strawberry blonde dolls...not obviously platinum to get rid off...but not really 'matching my brunette/ tanned / ethnic collection line...

All three of them have had a mention already on their arrival...
Fashion Fever Mackie I've got in a set of heads... Rio de Janeiro Teen Skipper which I've got in bundle with Hollywood Nails Teresa,  and mysterious green-eyed princess - so super fair I had to buy a body especially her...

Here they are in a simple yet colourful session in my living-room (or drawing actually)...

she seems to be enjoying her new body

Skipper in sporty-girly outfit matching her colour scheme <3

She has the softest hair and a really nice face.
Petitte body is a bit annoying but I definitely should 'exploit' her a bit more

Mackie looking for colour harmonies everywhere...

Here they are together.
Glossy coral lips on Mackie are fab!

then some friends came over providing
...causing few problems with contrast for my compact camera...

"I can't feel my face when I'm with you"...

what to do, what to do?

 turn away from window maybe?

no, now you are in shadow an doff focus!

..and now? oh dear...

oh she is so silly...

 Seriously girl!?

Charity shop Christmas Fair x 10

OK, ok this one doesn't even count as all proceeds went to Break (children fostering) charity!

So I went to local Tesco for bread and butter only to find that all local shops of the neighbourhood are having some christmas-ish (that was on 26.11) outdoor things going on... and one of the charities had two crates/boxes (you usually sell used scarves from) full of fashion dolls... you can imagine the immediate adrenaline rush, LOL I did not care anymore who will see me and with rest of my dignity I went through the whole two boxes of dressed and  nude dolls £1 each...

Shocking amounts of MyScenes with jewelry, tons of generation girl Barbies....only one AA, few tanned ...and one successful and consulted clothes swap.
Charity volunteer lady was a bit surprised with my pile but somewhat quickly came to the conclusion, thinking aloud, that unloved toys must be very sad indeed and they ale little people after all <3
Then just run behind the corner to my house, to get £10 from my partner "please don't ask what for";-)

I tried to limit myself but My Scenes were so new-like, one of them was wearing HollywoodNails clothes I've been looking for  for a while, then I found the original doll - her body is so fair and semi articulated... and a version of Poca wearing pink bikini..belonging to Pear Beach Christie which I found seconds late with a broken leg...

Christie in her originals in stead on navigate mermaid's top

Commercial yet charming Pocachontas from ColourSplash Hair line...

this mold is so fab that i will actually keep her for repaint and re-bodying...

Then two MyScene Boys. Interestingly made uaing the same facesculpt.
They are semi-articulated and AA has most charming face but they are not proportional for Barbies

Apparently they actually swapped their clothes...

Girls had interesting make-up colour schemes, original silver jewellery and most amazing hair...

This beauty also wore a nice Mattel's dress from this fashion pack ('Gala in Chickago'):

This one has been wearing genuine fashion as well...
and is from swapping heads line...
..again she swapped fashions with the brunette, Noleen...

This beauty seems to wear summer blue dress originally - here I guess Vienna from Discover the World Barbie magazines...

Then her...fab Mackie mold, original cotton jewelry, hair in fab state...

I kept her in a box for nearly an year but I didn't have a change of heart and i'll let her go now..
She photographs very well but I can't deal with how blue her eyes are...
here she is in few close-up before spa...

Oh, and the last of MyScenes - Titian beauty...

 reunion...

Tidied up, to go and wait in a box...
and few successful swaps = MyScene boy's clothes are superb on 16" dolls!
..oh can't wait for the next charity shop / carboot sale haul..

No numbers given as most of these went for parts,
fashions redistributed and heads and some clothes were re-sold...
