My dolls - No 76 /adventures in rebodying 7

Now back to raporting my doll purchases...it was another intensive fruitfull dolly week...just after seeing her unusual make=up and colour scheme on forum and doll identification pages - she suddenly emerged on ebay....must have been a devil (again..)...

I easily won auction of this fully dressed fresh out of box doll:

Beyond Pink Teresa 1998

She arrived same day with next fab doll in a queue!!! on 06.07.2016.

1998 was a great year in Barbie's history - just look at this video with Think Pink music video featuring many recently issued dolls: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79c8UvYfz4I

As you know Teresa is a part of a chick-rock band /hence cool make-up and un-cool orange plastic guitar). There was Barbie in pink and Christie in neon green. I just found out that there are glowing in dark accents on their fashions and that Christie has painted baby hair and is fab /essp after removing the foil bits)!!!

Here is story of my doll emerging...

everything except of doll is still for sale in ebay...

Except of metallic foil accents that has to go she has funny body - she plays air guitar when you spin her head /hence stable stand/ - she is therefore very stiff and her head in not moving up and down..that needs to change too...

Her hair are straight and in burgundy brown unusual, mysterious shade... (a bit like Velvet doll's).
Face is completely fab!

her skin is much darker than avarage 90's Teresa's - lovely!

7 months of 'maturing in a cardboard box and here are things happening to her at last...

Her fancy metallic foil hair disintegrated over last decades making it easier for me to make an decision about removing them. Her hair are sort of sew in, not glued, so they pop with just little pull...

fiber detached from layer of foil

 OUTcome of my work
silvery bits shining in the dark...

bye bye 90's rockstar extravaganza!

bye bye foil and stiff neck...

tadaaam!
whoa! what just happen...
I can't feel my face when I'm with you...

et voila!
one articulated wrist makes a lot of difference actually;-)

(this is such a good make-up asking for some truly /classic/ rock'n roll outfit!

Folk girls restyled

I've done it!
I still would not dare to touch their hair but i have undressed my Dolls of the World from their original clothes and found some more urban choices...
I wasn't that very brave - dolls were used, with no shoes and their clothes are of great quality - separates with metal naps. I had to cut of the wreath of dolls head but left beads as i matches her amazing red jewelry (and expose the fairness of her skin..)

I have used fresh batch of recently purchased  myScene clothes - very happy with the outcome.
Spring feeling in the air (although shot in mid Summer 2016).

fancy contemporary shoes
(even Barbie's leg doesn't look good with heavy ankle designs...)

and some close-ups to enjoy their fresh yet classic faces!

 <3

sorry for all the single the sticking out hair, unfortunately I always act in a hurry
  thank you!

My doll nr 75!

Uhhh what a number!
Luckly I have an elegant fancy, boxed doll which can stand for this occasion...

On 29.06.16 devil sent me yet another eBay auction which I won by accident... boxed doll wearing a gown is soooo not my style... fortunately dress is made in un-dolly black colour and she has a vintage Teresa mold...

She is part of an interesting line consisting of Barbie - in red  (w/ Mackie mold), Teresa (in black), Christie /Asha/ (in indigo), Kira (in indigo) - me wanna!, and brunette Barbie in blue which I discovered only recenetly.

The idea is basically - three pieces of clothes in velvet, satine and tulle which you can embelish with velvety floral stickers coloured with felt pens (no thank you)....

I deboxed her only recently (mid January 2017) - what a fun process it was!

She came in an adjusted crisps box and her box got slightly squeeshed...

picture on the back looks like that:

 enjoying the box...

I actually do love new dolls...hairbrushes...instructions...

this takes me back in time..

Although body suit is not removable which is a bit of a negative surprise - I ma very happy with her shoes - not at all back pumps you'd expect underneath a dress.

propper ankle boots in adult, real life colour! how useful /despite a mark left by a wire...)
and an elegant lady-like sock underneath (attached)
happy happy!

stickers....

so very velvet all over indeed...

brand new hairbrush for me...

bolero has a snap

wired...

slightly lame crimping...

lovely lacey crown and 'characteristic' fringe...but i think i will need to neutralize it a bit with time..

 textures of her outfit

at last able to throw few poses...

oh i love Teresa mold /yet I am not sure if flower colour and styling goes
that well with the dress at all...will work on that, don't you worry...

yay:-) new doll life!

p.s. sorry for lack of fancy photo frame - busy here, extremely... and this photo spam ypu know...
