Doll's jewelry handmade

Encouraged by a quick fix with Moxie's yellow glass earrings I decided to work on some less spontanious and more classic forms.

Marry Christmas dolls!!!

My first inspiration has been a simple brass chain - off scale for Barbies but great for my bigger dolls (and general 1/3 scale public).

Who wears it better pt 1;-)

My second set  embraces the opposite elements - an icy, pastel, cool and siver esthetic:

Same set on a different model:

Third one, a necklace, plays with tube shaped metal findings

I would definitely wear these myself...

she is a beauty after all...
 Who wears it better 3...
quite a versatile this one...

Last but not least... a simlple collection of  'Waters of Nile' seed beads on fancy fine elastic -
a barcelet and versatile neclace:

Moxie takes the stage...

so much fun!!!

I need to make more asap

Queen of Christmas (166)

Today, despite the title, post dedicated to my male boys.
Growing up in 80 with orange and yellow Kens I never imagined I will adopt a boy doll.

I wanated to honour and entertain my newly deboxed 2016 Holiday Barbie but she doesn't look too amused. Not a model muse me thinks - she is done this season with modelng and definitely not a big fan of Holidays; And children.

the first few went well...

the male models joined in...
 Brian and Ryan
she can barly take it anyway ...but then this!

children joined in... she couldn't be bothered no more!
looovely children...
(yes, Sullivan Famly fashions do fit small mattel dolls and skinny Monsters)

awwww modern men!

Fantastic analytical article on Kens providing you with gems like: 'Mattel has spent the better part of six decades teaching children that Barbie and Ken are white; that Barbie and Ken are sculpted like Hellenistic statues, only pornier, despite lacking genitals;': https://www.gq.com/story/the-ken-doll-reboot-beefy-cornrowed-and-pan-racial

Marry Christmas 2018

So terribly overdue that I can pretend i timed it carefully to post this season...

My last years Chistmas Extravaganza session was triggered by kind apppeariance of

2016 AA Holiday Barbie (doll No 166) in TKMaxx chain

- so blaise, so beautiful... that i couldn't trust Santa and wait so I gave her to myself before christams and away from nlaws view;-)
I then have used her formal gown as an one more pretext to play with dolls and properly doll them up this festive season!!!

A little bit of chaos, everyone wants close-ups...

Grace went for more edgy and contemporary but no less sparkly look!

some good old and classy Asha and Teresa <3
..and some freosty festive fun at last...
with the long awaited official group photo

back stage - glory gory allelujjah - the arrival of collectiable NITB holiday doll, haha
