The longer I think about it the more i realize what really happen..and that I should have some regrets probably...then, on the other hand' I have chosen only the kind of dolls i really like and really 'need'...
...so long story short, one pre christmas day during early stages of shopping for kids stuff I spotted from top of the double-decker some boxed dolls in charity shop's window...
On my way back, with all those bags and millions of coins spent (which now I tink was a factor)...to my utter shock all of the dolls were collector editions and such...definitely someone has donated a collection to British Heart Fundation...
so yes...my heart jumped out of chest and i had to think twice - Katherine Johnson is a great meaningfull doll - i love the glasses and vintage styled dress... Not a big fan of bombastic holiday dolls but a very dark skinned Goddess is a must (and I once, in similar situation, let go of a birthday barbie for 25 quids with the same facemold...)
Oh well I had to get these two and naturally ignore the rest of World Landmarks series in window 2 (stiff blondes with mackie face are not my thing BUT obviously in this price thet would be a great investments...if only i wasn't this rational (and a single mum) with too many bags using public transport you know LOL
...so here they are...
oh just a gorgeous doll...i couldn't wait to consume her...
but the least I could do before Christmas time was filming her LOL
...the following week they had some 90s flashy lines with spotty legs...and I kept my will strong and did not fell even for Kira...
...this all was just too much and over exciting and into your face LOL
...only several months later I realised that I should know better how charities work...it wasn't a local local donation... I'm pretty sure now that they got them from the central redistribution centre of some sort....cause there was too much at the same time from very different periods (and BHF is charity I got several large bundles on ebay from)...so I'm guessing I shoyld have at least check few south-western London branches...of well, ill never know...
p.s. year later, the human Katherie is no more with us and doll still remain boxed...
