Vintage skipper

Every now and then I hit the segment cycle for vintage, toddler or other dolls.
This time it was Skipper - my daughter was done with her Stacey and I retrieved her Skipper with a broken neckpeg for a post-play spa.

Once I was done they went into shared teen box where I found out it is time for reactivation of the super vintage ones fond in front of neighbours house

..she's been quite lucky as I had a seaside adventure in mind...
⛵⛵⛵🚲🚲🚲🌊🌊🌊

Nothing too crazy - just Whitstable easily accessible by train, with its oh so English pebbly beaches...

She can't tilt her head so it's a bit tricky to shoot her for a first-timer

Hahha, also this...
Not sure what's with teh light....

the vibe was surely on :-)

Warn-out timber and wave-breakers of all sorts are always a pleasure....

...and so are the beach huts <3

I love Whitstable - it's relatively shabby in comparison ....

...well at least the waterfront side... cause...

...and these stylised post-warf glass and  steel ones....

...my little English Rose...

Tiny tiny....

p.s. that was in May 2024 when I got my Brompton

New Barbie Looks (No 246 & 247)

Today a warm welcome to my 2nd Wave Barbie Looks dolls No. 13 and 14

The first one I received from my former employer who understood

my love for Barbies and the less obvious looks. She has spent a good amount of 2024 boxed and on my everchanging display....

here are my deboxing close-up pics:

Great fan of (80's) coloured make-up revival after years of 'neutral nudes'

Such a happy 80s childhood colour combo

One of best sculpts of recent years, surely.

The second one came off amazon because i had my eye on her (and never got the previous mean redhead) - now I had a doll-sister excuse...

Not sure about her fashions but she is such a classic beauty -
pre-Raphaelites and Irish-doll-situations love her!

Freedom!?

So happy with how natural looking and small their eyes are <3
...well as for the hair - I can fix that....

tadaaam!

Yay!

here are some future (ha!) photo sessions I used them for:-)

....even together!

Thanks
