Charity shop find 5

Althou the doll is long gone I wan't to 'pay respect' so to speak...
I can't remeber anymore where I have been heading but I was alone (unusual) and I took other way than usually. Thanks to that finally had a chance to explore only seen from a far - Samaritanians charity shop. It was small but very bright and tidy - boutique more than a smelly second hand...
First glance to the left and there she is:

 Rapunzel Barbie 1997

Read enough blogs to know I have to save her from children's hands;-) Not only she had a cherished Mackie mold but also a very characteristic make-up as well as very fancy crown and clean genuine gown, even original gold hair elastics. In short - I wanted to play with her without being obliged to display etc... (I think i lost eBay auction with boxed AA one so it was a sign or sth).

It was a very great pleasure indeed - well attached but removable crown, seriously long hair but not in the best quality imo, removable gown which turned out to be separate...

Washing and brushing her hair was a nightmare - I wanted to refresh them for auction... it must have been physics...they have been tangling before i even finished to stroke on streak, hmm

All in all I am very happy with the final effect and really enjoyed photographing her - very graceful and well made princess...

80s extravaganza / Charity shop 4

Once upon a time I have been tested by Doll Goddess /might have been a devil...
Rainy day, tour de charity shops, expensive and dirty SnowWhite I don't buy and next doors - three of them... Terrible clothes...semi familiar faces... definitelly vintage looks.. I take two most characteristic ones the third one was just too much (my mistake) espite wearing genuine mattel tracksuit /damn!/

This is how they looked like on the arrival :-P this should be forbiden!

as it clearly states Hasbro 1986 so it wasn't that difficult..

actually wait..

 AAAAaaaaa   AAAAaaaa AAAAaaaaa and fairy dust!

 underwear turned to be vintage Barbie lingerie but I manae to sell it despite being worn out 

(and first of all pink!) 

and by the way - these vintag edols are extremely articulated for their age and have lovely heavines of thick rubbber... as you can see there is no doll's number in the title - I was strong enough to sell them as non Mattel blondes should really really not invade my 'collection';-)

They are obviously Jem and Holograms rock and roll glam cartoon collectable characters (wave 2):

Jem - Rock Curl with cotton candy steaks (the vocalist)

 and in her original outfit (they have been coming with stands and lots of accessories)

 and rather rare I imagine, extra character - a choreographer Danse Dvorak (centro-european character with bade up biography). I just adore her androgenous beauty!

 she reminds me Lihmal a bit, my preschool love, LOL

I had few hous of absolute mind blow and reaching the bottom of the internetz with them...

just look at this collection of amazing pics of both dolls and original animated characers (they push my buttons on so many levels but I stil can see how tasteless it is thanks Dog ;-)

apparently there is a feature movie which is goint to be hit (or already is) and modern repro dolls are coming our way /Integrity toys iI believe!/

and yes fuzzy feeling torards this group was established...only waiting for an excuse...

Another milestone aHEAD

yes...after you have your toes in rebodying waters...another thing is - buying somebody elses set of heads really cheap... especially is there are some brunettes AND you missed the auction like that before;-)

In my set was Christie with green eyes (and terrible hair) - my latest obsession /at the time)
Few Mackies who i learnt to like and get excited about after reading too many blogs;-)
There was Lea as well which I already had but thought is lovely;-)
some ginger ones, some ash-blonde, some with red lips;-)
oh, who needs to justify anything anyway...

 Christie is georgeus

 I couldn't wait to to something with her hair...

and this alabaster skinned one need saving too...

oh they gonna be a lot of work but I love it:-)...

Charity goodies 3

In early May I had pleasure to be alone for one week and spent weekend in London... after coming back i dedicated a greater part of a day to cycle around charity shops that I know...

I wasn't terribly lucky but in the end came back with two albums on floristry and two nicely articulated Disney dolls...

I was cold-blooded doing that - one was very pale (and had chesnut ginger hair) - the other one was AA - two non-blondes and potential body donors... oooorr a repaint maybe...

they came in such a awful dresses...
but with lovely smiles and, oh well - Disney eyes...

both plastic and rubber is lower quality than Mattel and shades are not well matched

torso is more less like bellybutton one, maybe slightly slender...

 and panties matching dress colour are very cute and help identification for such a ignorant as me...

Yellow dress and auburn hair are BELLA's obviously (Beauty and the beast) - even I know that...
there is new doll coming out every ear - different make up, version of a dress... ppl collect them...

whatever...mine seems to be from 2009 and doesn't sing thanks god;-)

I will have hard times doing things to her face/head - she is so innocent...

a lot of 'prerafaelite' charm

and dry split ends;-)

 cut if you have to....

really happy to have natural hair first time in her life:-)
