My dolls, nr 77! / Adventures in rebodying 8.

There you go, the next doll arrival was purchased on 03.07 and is doll number 77 if you fancy some numerology... She is Ancient Greek Princes form the Dolls of the World series.
She was heavily under-priced, not described and poorly photographed so yay! my kind of doll.
She was in sad condition - as if she was displayed in Greek restaurant for years... super dusty and unloved...

here she is graceful and proud in bubble wrap..
dusty in her glory...

luckly my grey kitchen door look rather greek-blue in full July sun;-)

 sooooooo dusty
golden gown
 and a hem:

I also happen to have an olive tree in a pot;-)

and official Barbie Collector pic..

Whats worse, her head decoloured slightly from exposure to light and turned waxy yellow while her body is milky / ivory... apparently it is quite common for this line of dolls even if nrfb...

I am never interested in displaying a doll in original outfit and styling... She has an amazing strong face ready for some urban adventure:-)

Her fancy layered dress (well made in deed) was sewn on her but fabric was protected with seam.
She had very nice hairstyle from epoque and very good jewelry indeed. I sold all of her luggage - another quilt free 'purchase'...

diadem and snake bracelet were amazing...

Her fancy locks were stiff from 'hair product' and beyond dirty... I had no doubts if she needs hot water and shampoo...
after first dip - still up but not sticky...

tadaaaa - contemporary chic Italian lady....so happy and excited for her...

now for a new body...
nothing really was fair and yellow enough...not even Hollywood nails or Austrian Barbie you know...

Since it was supposed to be an upgrade as well I ended up choosing between Liv Sophia and Disney's Bella... both are fortunately more ivory than rosy;-)

Ok, she is a little bit mean Medusa on this one:-P

all the best dear Chiara (I guess...)!

  1. Wow!
