charity shop box stash

On one lazy afterschool chartity shop stroll I have stumbled upon a dreams-come-true kind of a mixed doll stash/lot in price of five pounds. I grabbed it without checking much so had lots of fun discovering the content...

...so obviously one of Poca's edition (made in china, with dry and cut hair) with 2 dresses, original early 90s gymnast and ski outfits with shoes, Kens shoes, Mermaid tails, Jasminas bottom and set of satine lingerie and painfully colourful bicycle...all perfectely from the same era...

I decided to keep the bicycle for repaint and already managed to sell 90% ofthe stash enjoying the time spent while taking pics for eBay... charity is happy, roro is happy, dolls in loving hands, eBay earned too. win - win situation;-)

Barbie turns out to be Cut'n'Style 1995 blond Barbie with cut short bob and fun velcro looking a bit like an undercut actually.. original choker still on...

thanks to this unexpected finding I refershed my memories about being too 'grown up' for dolls but trying to decide which I'd get while being amazed by the choice of hair colours (and vivid outfits posibly;-)

Cut'n'Style dolls came in few versions with packs of hair refills sold separetely!

so interestingly - no Teresa as brunette bit Christie s an AA...

Pocahontas had this other dress which I once saw on blog - with autumn leaves appearing and metallic trim so I started to dig a bit and realised how much of a commercial success she must have had (and obviously is stil produced till nowadays). I remmeber the mould and Native stylistic as very refreshing but out of my reach already...

so except of classic one there were versions with twirly hair machine, changing colour hair editionand a beautiful snowy winter one*...and much more, all with fancy names and accessories or not (no swimsuit realness surprisingly, LOL)

months later i will meet my nude Colour Splas one:-)

*they are called: the spirit of love, sun colours, feathers in the wind, winter moon and shining breids...

My doll nr 74

What a great doll to celebrate a full year of absolute doll fever!
Almost exactely year ago I went for winter break  to Finland and Sweden to comme back with an official doll's collector birthday gift - a bag of second-hand corpses... blue haired Teresa was there, purple haired marmeid was there...

This doll came from Stockholm's charity as well and was purchased by my partner for leaving me alone with kids again!
He was briefly instructed about molds and bodytypes - in short the darker the better and every joint counts.

He came back with a lovely Christie wearing dated, yet festive Fashion Avenue dress and shoes!

To my surprise one glimps was enough to identify my new roomate - she has mustard yellow nailpolish! This way unintentionally I managed to collect full line of these dolls! She has very natural looking hair with tiny braids (and no bangs) so the first edition, yay!

Here she is in a quick late night session with rest of my Asha Christies /so far :-)

She has most fab make-up, deep, dark and burgundy-copper. Original clothes are as good as other dolls' from this collection with extra points for my-favouruite-colour;-)
Its gonna be lots of fun recreating them...

Wardrobe upgrade

I remember from the early 2000s standing in front of toy shop window and thinking "wow, if only.../I was stll playing with dolls/" - that was obviously inbetween phases...

...but on 28.06.16 I possibly got some of these nice quality, good clours and tasteful fashions 'I'd wear myself'... by accident as I usually do I stumbbled upon an auction of a nice batch on myScene clotehs - no nnsense dresses, mainly casual tops and jeans... somehow I managed to win them for 0,99!

Royal Mail has little bit of mechanical issues with the  packeging but thanks to inner extra bag everything arrived safe and sound/watch and learn, watch and learn/

Some of them you have seen in previously published photo sessions due to serious time loop happening on my blog but anyway - here they are from up close, and flat... just look at these fab colours and nice natural looking details!

oh, i think i need to restye some dolls;-)

My dolls - nr 73

Beside of Monster High accessories on that day i've got two mini cabbage patch dolls for resale and original first edition one interestngy dressed in lace tights and puffy dress made of, I could swear, the same fabric as Loving you Barbie - it's Mattel production as well after all.

Anyway, the story for today is simple yet sensational... Sunny summer sunday like any other, boot sale, table top like any other, good quality mix of household goods - not interested...but on top of it, just like that lays her - oh I don't even think about it, grab before the whole army of doll collectors arrive... 50 p... Fifty pence for a clean Cali Lea /horse eriding/ doll, shiny hair and shoes!!!
Can't even think about it - one of the dolls I saw on internet and never on ebay... just like that... desitiny obviouly...

Amazing silky, smoots, straight, two-tonned chocolate hair, oriinal braids; super clean and simple neutral make-up - my fav mold for sure. Her fashion is so stylish and well made compared to nowadays... sporty burgundy bra, summery orinental longsleeve, skinny 3/4 washed out jeans with leather belt, copper metal necklaceand comfy brown! flipflops... well done Mattel!

one of best line even imo (but i am far from thoughts about complete sets and stuff). It looks like that:

I tottaly fell in love and took her with me for my Croatian holidays - breaking my golden rule and skipping the queue... here are few of them...

 georgeus by the sea...

and in mountain forests...
